Picnic on the grounds of the Union Bldgs, Pretoria and Rugby! March 3

We went on a mid morning walk from our hotel, near the US Embassy, to the grounds of the seat of government for South Africa, the Union Buildings.  This was where Nelson Madela was sworn into office, almost 24 years ago.  His 9 meter tall statue was erected in 2013.  2018 marks a century since his birth.
A view of Pretoria from the front of the Union Buildings atop Meintjieskop:
Partway down the hill, looking back up at the Union Buildings, a school group coming towards us:

Then I went to my first ever Rugby game at Loftus Versfeld to see the Vodacom Bulls vs Emirates Lions.  Tickets were R150 (about $13).  The beer was good, but had to be consumed around back of the stadium in an enclosed area.  A great time was had by all, except the visiting team won.
